(j-1) If a school district purchases from a publisher copyrighted curriculum materials for use in the district's human sexuality instruction, the district shall ensure that the purchase agreement provides for a means by which a parent of a student enrolled in the district may purchase a copy of the curriculum materials from the publisher at a price that does not exceed the price per unit paid by the district for the curriculum materials. (d) A retention committee established under Subsection (c) shall be composed of: (1) the principal or the principal's designee; (3) the teacher who taught the grade or course for which the parent wants the student retained or repeated; and. 3, eff. (e) For a student in a special education program under Subchapter A, Chapter 29, who does not perform satisfactorily on an assessment instrument administered under Section 39.023(a), (b), or (c), the student's admission, review, and dismissal committee shall design the program to: (1) enable the student to attain a standard of annual growth on the basis of the student's individualized education program; and. 7, eff.
